You must avoid these types of people once you are married and if an blissful marriage is your vision and plan:
- PEOPLE WHO HATE THEIR SPOUSES:
People who hate their spouses should not be your friends; they will make you hate yours. Once you notice that someone is fond of bad-mouthing his or her spouse, kindly avoid befriending the person. He or she will affect your marriage negatively.
- PEOPLE WHO HATE YOUR SPOUSE
I need not tell you this; anyone who hates your spouse should be avoided by all means. If you make them your friend, they will make you hate your spouse.
- PEOPLE WHO HATE THE OPPOSITE SEX
When you see anyone who hates the opposite sex, be careful about him or her. If a woman’s best friend is a woman who hates men and talks ill of the menfolk every day, her companion will hate men soon and it will affect her relationship badly.
- PEOPLE WHO DESTROY THEIR OWN MARRIAGE
When you discover that some people fight their marriages through their habits and attitude and are not ready to make amends, don’t allow them to destroy yours because theirs would be destroyed. Move away from them.
- PEOPLE WHO DO NOT AGREE WITH YOUR BELIEFS ABOUT FAMILY LIFE AND MARRIAGE
You can be colleagues, co-tenants, neighbours, but don’t discuss your marital life with people who disagree sharply with your beliefs about marriage and family life. Those that believe in polygamy, divorce, feminism, wife-battery, wife-slavery, child abuse, gay marriage, separation etc.
Discuss your marriage only with those that believe what you believe and share your Values.
- YOUR EX-BOYFRIEND AND GIRLFRIEND
Your ex should not be your friend. You need to disconnect as soon as you get married to build trust in your spouse and demonstrate absolute loyalty.
- PEOPLE WHO COMMIT ADULTERY
People who commit adultery with impunity should not be your friends. If you make these kinds of people your friend, it will send wrong signals to your spouse and may even tempt you to be dishonest and break your marriage vow.
Develop good association that will grow your marriage, make friends with people that will encourage you to be a better spouse, that is the route to an evergreen marriage.
